Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for your support in the November 2010 election. Sheree and I could not have done it without your votes, contributions, volunteer efforts, and prayers. Our campaign was about building a stronger community, and I am so thankful that you chose to join us.

I wanted this election to be a victory for our entire community, and to do so, I have hit the ground running. I am proud to say that I have played an active role in the House Financial Services Committee, the Joint Committee on Energy and Climate Change, and the Joint Committee on Housing.

The issues currently being debated in the State House are vital to the success of our community. We need to bring new public transportation, better schools, and safer jobs to this district. We need to hire more local workers on infrastructure projects, train more local cops, and improve financial literacy and economic self-sufficiency.

I grew up in Mattapan, attended Thompson Middle School and Hyde Park High, and live and work in the district. I am thrilled at the opportunity I have to give back to the community that has given me so much.

You're my neighbors. You're my friends. I want to hear from you, learn what the problems are, and work with you and other community leaders to fix them. The only way we can truly build a stronger community in Roslindale, Dorchester, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, and Hyde Park is if we work together.

It is an honor and a privilege to work for you.

Yours in service,
