The university has been engaged in collective bargaining with the Saint Mary’s University Faculty Union since September 2, 2025. To date, meaningful progress has been made through the dedicated efforts of both bargaining teams.
On November 24, 2025, SMUFU filed for conciliation, which has now been scheduled for February 2 and 3, 2026. In the meantime, the parties have continued to make progress through direct negotiations, and the university remains committed to continuing this work.
